You couldn’t wipe the grin off my face for the past two weeks whilst I was working with both the Toy & Game Expo and also Toys Paradise the online toy and game retailer.
The two weeks just started to culminate into what ended up being a Fun Filled Fortnight Full of Fantastic Freedom For me to be a big kid on the job! (how’s that for alliteration?)
It was amazing to of met and be surrounded by such a youthful group of Adults in the likes of Charles, Steve, Miles, Anton and Claude. They are living proof that just because you are deemed an adult. It doesn’t mean that the fun of being a kid has to stop.
The past two jobs saw me …

Running around in a Nerf Arena playing Dart Tag,
Test riding the latest motorised Razor Scooters and Go-Karts,

Teaching Families, Kids and Adults how to play different ranges of card games (which I had only learnt on the day),
Wandering through isles of Toys and Games picking out orders for customer who had purchased them online,
Restocking supplies of over 200 kg of Play-Doh,

Sorting out 500+ Pillow Pets into their different animal types,

Seeing a Lego Pit constructed,

Meeting Australian Champions for different Board Game Competitions which were held at the Expo,

And, playing Games throughout my lunch breaks.
These past two weeks have definitely shown me that any job you can imagine is possible!
No matter how unlikely it may seem, there are always ways to make your dream job happen. (sometimes you even end up owning your own Nerf Arena along the way)
To both Toy & Game Expo and Toys Paradise, thank you for making me feel like part of the family!

There is so much more I’m sure I could talk about from the experience, but as is the fast pace of the project, sometimes the brain fails to be able to articulate it all whilst I’m writing late at night.
